I have really enjoyed Nancys teaching method. Nancy is one of the most sought after speakers the Sewing and Stitchery Expo has ever had. She taught many of us so very much. [1] She was the daughter of Ralph and Barbara Luedtke. What a wonderful family and Richard what wonderful things you did for her and your family and thank you for finishing her story with your book. Nancy inspired me in so many way in my life and I look forward to meeting her again. It is so lovely to watch one of her old shows even though Ive seen most of them at least once, Its nice to refresh the information. (Just ordered her pattern adjustment book recently). I watched her shows always she shared so much of herself with others. I enjoy all her teaching techniques, from my DVDs, templates & books. i was privileged to attend Pfaff conventions years ago when Nancy was an ambassador for Pfaff. Her easy to follow directions made every sewer feel like they could accomplish any project. Nancys show and her store are my inspiration to sew, quilt and try new techniques. I have been a sewer since about age 9 and I am now 86 and own and operate a small fabric store and do alterations and patching and so many thing I learned from Nancy have made it possible for me to repair many loved garments for my customers. I met her at sewing expos and loved her humor when she did live shows at the Sewing Weekend in Beaver Dam. I have learned quite a bit of sewing tips from her. I never miss her shows on our local PBS stayion. Having watched her Sewing with Nancy for years I felt like I knew her, but also knew there was so much more to her caring attitude. Nancy Zieman, longtime host of Wisconsin Public Television's "Sewing With Nancy," died Tuesday at 64 after a long battle with cancer, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Being from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan we took a family I was on vacation in Mexico when I saw that she had passed. It is a great loss for those of us who depended on her for so many years and benefited from her knowledge & skills that she conveyed so skillfully to all of us. Zieman is survived by her husband, Rich; two sons Ted (Alison) of Green Bay, Wis., and Tom (Katelyn) of Appleton, Wis.; and three grandchildren.
